(Still won't let me post under my name - I hate you blog!!) anyways, I am enjoying this book so far. I think we have an intersting story brewing here from our friend in the nursing home. Pretty funny how he go so "worked up" over an apple :P Circus life seems a bit hectic back in the day - a lot of set up and take down, crazy how busy it was then. The peep show was quite the explanation of events - guess I won't let my husband wander off at the circus LOL :)
Really like the book so far. I flew through the first 8 chapters!
Jacob in the nursing home is amusing - and a little sad how it's kind of prison like. Can't have the food he wants, get's sent to his room and given meds that he knows nothing about...
The circus is crazy. I couldn't imagin just jumping inot that life like he did. I couldn't sleep on wet mindewed blankets in a car with animals... Being covered in dirt and shit for days... Circus like is very much it's own world.

I am haveing a hard time posting. and I have tried to post this like 5 times now, so it gets shorter everytime I have to type it out.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying this book. I think she moves well back and forth from "presnt day" Jacob to past Jacob. I also like the photos that are included.
