Schedule

I agree with Maggie we need to try and keep on a same pace.

Here is a schedule I am suggesting. Feel free to add or adjust anything and we will all go from there. For our first book I think it will be trial and error until we find out what type of readers we all are - fast/slow etc.

We post in every Thursday-Saturday...

Week 1 - Read Chapters 1-4
Week 2 - Chapters 5-8
Week 3 - Chapters 9-12
Week 4 - Chapters 13-16
Week 5 - Chapters 17-20
Week 5 - Chapters 21-24
Etc......

Each book has varying chapters - but I was thinking at least 4 a week??

Then for those who read ahead - maybe keep your own personal journal so when we are discussing certain chapters, you will have points you want to bring up or discuss.

Book List

So I figured we would just start the list from the posts we have and we can add to it as we go. Now we can start our first book at the Beginning of October. Do we want to have a set time to finish our books or start posting so there are no spoilers?

1. The Tigers Wife by Tea Obreht
2. Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen
3. Rules of Civility by Armor Towles
4. Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin
5. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith

Do we want to have a set time to finish our books or start posting so there are no spoilers?

Feel free to correct any mistakes I made.

Pick 5

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter [Paperback]

Seth Grahame-Smith P.S. It took me FOREVER to figure this out :P

New Pick

Thought this looked interesting....Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin

Pick 3

Those both sound like good choices to me. I would also like to read the Rules of Civility by Armor Towles at some point too.

Pick 2

My pick is Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen

Welcome one and all

We were toying with the idea of starting a blog book club so those of us not close to each other could be in a book club together...and...here I am starting it.  What book shall we read first?
